Yesterday was a whirlwind of errands, all centered around one goal: finally renewing my driver’s license. It’s been a long and frustrating process, made even more challenging by the fact that a medical exam is required—and those don’t come cheap. With no extra money to spare, I turned to a community organization in hopes of getting it covered. They agreed but insisted I complete some lab work first, so I took care of that yesterday, checking one more box off the list.
After all that running around, I needed a change of pace—something positive, something meaningful. So, I decided to spend the evening with my younger children, making the most of our time together. We headed to the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, QC, where admission is free on Thursdays after 5 PM. It was the perfect way to end the day—immersing ourselves in history, creating memories, and reminding myself why this long journey to getting my license back is worth every effort.
I don’t have any more pictures to share since I choose not to post photos of my children. But I found this one interesting—the front of the building almost looks like a face!
More than anything, I’m just grateful for the quality time I got to spend with my kids. Moments like these mean everything.
